"Our Golden Retriever, "Sunny," loved to go to
shows but his
favorite part of the day was after showing he
got to visit Bridgett
of ICSB. Sunny loved Bridgett, and thanks
to her and to ICSB, a
year after Sunny passed away he sired a litter
with frozen semen.
One of his progeny from that breeding is now
2 years old and has
almost finished his breed championship.
We are so very thankful
to ICSB as now that our Sunny is gone, we can
still see him

Since 1996 I have owned and bred [also in very
limited breeding] my
Sweet Dreams Cavalier King Charles Spaniels
with 5 AKC CH ,1 Rally
Advanced, 6 Rally Novice, 1 AKC CD, 1
AKC National High in Trial and
1 Speciality High in Trial and bred the up and
coming Cavalier Agility
star who in 4 months has 5 AKC Agility Titles.
Because I breed so infrequently I was absolutely
delighted to find
Professor Platz and his ICSB collection,
freezing and storing service.
I first used Prof Platzs' service in 1993 when
he froze my
Borzoi - AKC CH Veras Hobgoblin.
In 1997 I used that frozen semen [Hobgoblin
was deceased by then]
on my imported Borzoi bitch Australian CH Russkimir
Varinya
[16 CC, multi BOB, Australia]
that litter of 5 resulted in
2 AKC CH [another died tragically with 10 US
pts]
3 AKC CD
1 Rally Excellent
1 Rally Advanced
1 Rally Novice
2 CGC
1 Therapy dog
and made Varinya the first import bitch to receive
a BCOA ROM
In all my dealings with Prof Platz and
his staff I have been treated like
a friend, not a customer, at all times they
have bent over backwards
to help me in collecting my dogs, freezing semen
or in
having my bitches bred.
1993 Prof Platz came to my house on his way south
and collected my
Hobgoblin; he also went with me at 8 that evening
to collect
another clients bitch !
1997 Prof Platz and his staff, specifically Barbara
Binder,
worked with me and the vet to surgically inseminate
Varinya
[ x AKC CH Veras Hobgoblins frozen semen]
- on the weekend!
[I had driven all night to get to Portland from
Reno for the surgical!]
The surgical was done and over in 1 hour, with
my bitch
fully alert -resulting in 5 puppies.
2005 Bridgett Higginbotham, ICSB Grass
Valley, CA was instrumental
in collecting fresh semen and helping with a
surgical resulting in
5 live puppies -again the surgical took place
in the evening -7 PM
and my Borzoi bitch [Cherie] Veras My Sterling
Treasure CD, RE, CGC
[10 AKC PTS] walked out by herself at 8 PM!
2005 also saw Bridgett ICSB Grass Valley, CA
receiving handling and
assisting the surgical using the
fresh chilled semen from Cavalier King
Charles Spaniel BIS CH Turretbank Samson to
our Cavalier bitch
Mostyn Rhoda at Rockyrose resulting in 6 live
puppies.
2007 May - We had ICSB Oregon ship semen
from Janis Mcferrin's
Borzoi AKC CH Manitias Brilliant in Black
[English import to USA] to
ICSB Grass Valley, CA to breed to Cherie - her
2nd successful surgical.
We feel now that frozen semen should be surgically
implanted for
maximum puppies Normal under ordinary circumstances
-
however Bridgett was on vacation to Mexico and
we we hung up
over the Memorial Day weekend for the progesterone
tests
I also preferred a different lab for the
progesterone tests, which
Bridgett graciously provided information on
Bridgett stayed in
touch nearly every day via email (cell phones
couldn't reach her) ,
arranged the surgical with the vet in Colfax,
CA - Dr Fritz [a really
dog savvy, friendly, extremely knowledgeable
and expert vet]
and arranged to transfer of the semen to DR
Fritz for the surgical,
all from Mexico! thanks to her efforts I have
6 lovely puppies !
2007 on -with the rise in std's [sexually transmitted
diseases ] in the
dog world and the hard to come by bloodlines
of both our Vera Borzoi
and Sweet Dreams Cavalier King Charles Spaniels,
we will only be
offering our boys at stud using fresh collected,
fresh chilled or frozen
semen collected stored and handled by
ICSB [specifically
ICSB Grass Valley, CA and ICSB Portland,
Oregon ]
